The new Toyota Camry carries on once again as one of the most popular and most recommended sedans on the road today. The latest version is on sale now at Napleton's Toyota of Urbana.

What is the Toyota Camry?
The Toyota Camry is a four-door, five-passenger sedan that has long been the default model chosen by drivers in America and worldwide since 1982. Introduced then as the Toyota Celica Camry, it has progressed to the Camry we have today, which is, without a doubt, the best looking generation, yet.
Today the new Toyota Camry is wrapped in a stylish body with the latest technology and safety features. There's also a choice of engines and motivating style. They range from a 2.5-liter inline-4 engine cranking out 203 horsepower @ 6,600 rpm and 184 lb-ft of torque to a 3.5-liter V6 making 301 horsepower @ 6,600 rpm and 267 lb-ft of torque @ 4,700 rpm.
Finally, a Camry Hybrid model is available, powered by a 2.5-liter inline-4 gasoline-electric hybrid that produces 208 net horsepower from the gasoline engine working in conjunction with the electric motor-generator.
Both the inline-4 and the V6 gasoline engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Camry Hybrid utilizes a continuously variable transmission (CVT) for improved efficiency.
Finally, the Camry can be ordered with all-wheel-drive (AWD). In good conditions, you'll never even notice your Camry has it. This Camry shines when road conditions turn slippery and snowy. Be prepared, we always say.
What about the Toyota Camry trim levels?
The Toyota Camry can be had in a trim level suitable to nearly every lifestyle or need. All told, there are 17 different varieties to choose from. They include the economical LE to a 50 mpg hybrid or a racing-inspired Camry TRD (Toyota Racing Development) model. From entry-level to top of the line, Toyota Camry models start with LE, SE, XSE and top-shelf XLE. Even though the LE is an entry-level model, it is still well-equipped with such features as an 8-way power seat, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, an alarm system and 17-inch alloy wheels.
How does the Camry look?
The latest version of the Toyota Camry is one of the sleekest, best-looking models ever to carry the Camry nameplate. There are a thousand points of interest to observe, from the large front grille to the low aluminum hood to the sweptback rear. The Camry features newly revised front fascias and below bumper intake areas.
Aggressive front spoilers and rear fascias with side vent accents lend a performance air to the entire car. Further back, quad-exhaust tips keep the vibe going. A special Midnight Black metallic roof is now available on XSE and TRD models. It's just the thing to remind the neighbors that this is the new Toyota Camry.
And just in case you like your Camry as a performance model, step up to the Camry TRD. Powered by the 301 horsepower 3.5-liter V6, it is the most over the top Camry in years. Racing-inspired, it features blackout treatments throughout, accented by a trunk-mounted spoiler and a ride that causes it to hunker down more than half an inch (0.6-inches) for a more aggressive stance.
The Inside Line on the new Toyota Camry
Inside the Camry is an excellent mix of technology, style and comfort. Oh, did we mention practicality, too? Outfitted with asymmetrical swoops and curves, the Camry interior distinguishes itself from nearly everything else available today. It is the perfect counterpoint to the comfortably-bolstered front seats and a very spacious rear bench.
From a tech standpoint, the new Camry sets off with a 7- or 9-inch touchscreen display that "floats" above the dashboard. In addition to "reaching out and touching," buyers can also use traditional knobs that are a welcome addition in these modern times. The new 7-inch display also includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Amazon Alexa integration and a Wi-Fi hotspot with a free trial period. And in a break with the technological dark ages, a CD player is no longer available in the Toyota Camry.
Also standard on the new Camry is the full suite of safety features known as Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+. Definitely not last, nor least, the Toyota Camry includes Toyota Care. It's a two-year/25,000-mile program of complimentary maintenance and 24/7 roadside assistance-standard!
