What moves the Toyota Land Cruiser?
All Land Cruisers are powered by Toyota's i-Force hybrid 2.4-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder hybrid engine delivering a hefty 326 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. For those keeping score, this is more torque than the Cruiser's previous V8 engine. Credit the Land Cruiser's hybrid motor generator for the extra boost.
This engine matches to an 8-speed automatic transmission and full-time four-wheel drive with Torsen limited-slip differential and active traction control. Equipped this way, the Land Cruiser can go almost anywhere. Take normal off-roading precautions and if possible enroll in an off-road experience school. If towing is in your wheelhouse, the Land Cruiser can tow up to 6,000 pounds.
Toyota Land Cruiser Interior
A thoughtfully-designed interior sets off the new Toyota Land Cruiser, helping to elevate any journey. The standard Cold Weather package warms up the steering wheel, the front seats, and even side mirrors. An 8-inch Toyota Multimedia touchscreen with six-speaker audio system completes the package for the Land Cruiser 1958. Premium leather-trimmed seats, found in the First Edition Land Cruiser, join a highline 12.3-inch driver's gauge display. Audiophiles will enjoy the 12.3-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen display with 10-speaker audio system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Technology
One of our favorite bits of technology found on the new Land Cruiser is the Multi-Terrain Monitor. Imagine a camera system to let you see what's happening underneath. In the process it will help you take a better course of action while negotiating challenging bits of an off-road trail.
There is so much more to discover when it comes to all of the amazing tech features implemented into the new Land Cruiser. From the advanced safety features, to the heated seats, to wireless phone charging and Apple CarPlay + Android Auto, it's all here for the perfect blend of rugged adventure and luxury.
